The induction hob codes on the Grand Palais 180 carry no gas burner at all — the entire top is built from La Cornue’s ceramic-glass induction elements, plus one or two large induction plates and an electric teppanyaki depending on the code. That makes the control knob, the induction driver board and the coil beneath the glass the parts a technician checks first, in place of a gas valve or thermocouple.
La Cornue’s own induction hob documentation lists the status and error symbols this hob can show; see data-error-codes-la-cornue.php for what a U, H, E or F symbol means before assuming a zone has failed outright.
Key Features

- 180 cm all-electric hob built from ceramic-glass induction elements — twin induction zones, one or two large induction plates and an electric teppanyaki, with no gas burner fitted
- Induction elements rated at 2,100 W per zone, 3,700 W maximum per element, per La Cornue’s own induction hob documentation
Most Common Issues on This Model
An induction zone will not power up when the control knob is turned past zero
Cookware is on the hob but the pan-detector symbol stays on and the zone never heats
An induction zone heats then cuts out mid-service, or an error symbol appears at that zone
One of the two vaulted ovens not reaching or holding its set temperature
