Nearly every weak-extraction call resolves at the filters or the duct rather than the motor. Grease collects on the fan wheel as well as the filters, and a wheel carrying an uneven layer of it both moves less air and starts to vibrate — which is why a rattle and poor extraction so often turn up in the same call and have the same single cause.
Lighting is worth separating out. A hood whose lights have failed while the fan still runs is rarely a serious problem, but because the light circuit sits inside a housing that collects grease, it is a job for a technician with the power isolated rather than something to reach into while the range below is in use.
