What E Means
La Cornue’s induction hob manual lists the [E] symbol as an error code meaning the electronic control system is defective. It is the milder of the two error symbols this hob displays and the manual pairs it with a single owner-side step before a technician is needed.
Common Causes of E
- A momentary problem in the induction hob’s electronic control system that clears on a power cycle
- A control-board problem that does not clear on reconnection and needs the board itself checked
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
La Cornue’s manual says to disconnect the appliance from its power supply and reconnect it. If [E] returns after that, the manual does not offer any further owner-side step, and interference with or repair of the hob by an unqualified person is explicitly against the manual’s own instructions.
